iO Pages Festival 2016

The doors open on 12th November at DRU Cultuurfabriek in Ulft, The Netherlands for a very special event, the iO Pages Festival.

8 bands will be featured in 2 halls, the pop hall and the theatre. Alongside the live band performances, the festival will also offer many other activities like workshops, film screenings, artist meet and greets and more! iO Pages Festival is certainly a unique, interactive event not to be missed!
 The following bands have been confirmed for the festival: Gazpacho, Tim Bowness, Anekdoten, Iamthemorning, Lesoir, A Liquid Landscape and Marcel Singor.

Headlining the festival, Gazpacho will play their only show of 2016 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their critically acclaimed album "Night".

Tim Bowness is bringing his impressive band to the festival, featuring Pete Morgan on bass, Michael Bearpark (No-Man) - Guitar, Stephen Bennett (No-Man) - Keyboards , Andy Booker (No-Man/Sanguine Hum) - Drums and Steve Bingham -Violin.

The workshops confirmed so far for the festival include:

• Gazpacho's Thomas Andersen and some of his fellow band members will explain the process of how a Gazpacho album is made. From the early first ideas and demos all the way through to the final result. Expect the usual craziness but also an in depth look at how they work!
• Tim Bowness will be hosting a Q&A session about his career. Expect Tim to talk in detail about his work with Steven Wilson on No-Man and his recent projects, including being a successful solo artist.
• Iamthemorning will be hosting a Q&A session and in addition they will talk about the way they take large amounts of inspiration from classical music and how it's helped them shape their unique sound.
• Marcel Singor will showcase many different aspects of guitar playing and he will also talk about chords and arrangements from great artists like Todd Rundgren and how it's inspired his performance.
• Crystal Spotlight assist artists and record labels to maximise online presence, and their team will talk about and show examples of their activities (their clients include Steven Wilson, Haken, Kscope, InsideOut Music and many more) and advise attendees on strategies to build audience through an effective online ecosystem. Crystal Spotlight's video production services are also in great demand and they'll be showcasing their recent projects with artists including The Mute Gods, Frost* and Rian Adkinson.

In the film screening room the festival will screen a selection of special documentaries and live shows. Exclusively in the screening room will be a special live performance DVD from Riverside.

In the evening between 5.30-7.30pm, The Prog Buffet will be open, offering salads, soups, and hot and cold dishes. The buffet is expected to be popular, so we recommend that you make a reservation. iO Pages Festival opens it's doors at 2pm, with the first band on stage at 2.30pm.
